Sales Engineer – Pharma Water System Solutions

Qualification: B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical / Chemical) OR Diploma / Science Graduate
Experience: 2 – 6 Years
CTC: ₹5 LPA – ₹10 LPA (Based on experience and interview performance)

Job Overview

We are looking for a result-oriented Sales Engineer – Pharma Water System Solutions to drive business growth and manage technical sales activities for pharmaceutical water treatment systems. The role involves handling client relationships, identifying business opportunities, conducting technical discussions, and delivering customized water system solutions for pharmaceutical manufacturing companies.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in technical sales, pharmaceutical water systems, and B2B client handling, along with exposure to pharma manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical clients across Pune and Goa
  • Coordinate with stakeholders from:
    • QA/QC
    • Production
    • Engineering departments
  • Gather market intelligence and track competitor activities

Technical Sales & Solutioning

  • Understand customer requirements related to pharma-grade water systems
  • Propose customized solutions including:
    • PW (Purified Water) Systems
    • WFI (Water for Injection) Systems
    • RO / EDI Systems
    • Filtration Systems
  • Conduct technical presentations and solution discussions with customers

Sales Execution

  • Manage the complete sales cycle from:
    • Lead generation
    • Quotation preparation
    • Negotiation
    • Order closure
  • Track customer enquiries and ensure timely follow-ups
  • Drive sales from both new and existing accounts

Business Development

  • Generate new business opportunities within pharmaceutical companies
  • Expand and strengthen existing customer accounts
  • Identify potential growth opportunities in assigned territories

Site Engagement & After-Sales Coordination

  • Visit customer sites for requirement analysis and discussions
  • Coordinate with internal teams for execution and after-sales support
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and long-term business relationships

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and related documentation
  • Maintain CRM updates and sales pipeline reports
  • Ensure proper documentation for commercial and statutory requirements

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of pharma water systems and water treatment technologies
  • Experience in technical sales and B2B business development
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to handle pharmaceutical clients and technical discussions
  • Good coordination and relationship management skills

Preferred Background

  • Experience in:
    • RO / EDI / WFI / PW systems
    • Pharma machinery and clean utilities
  • Exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing companies preferred

Eligibility Criteria

  • B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical / Chemical) OR Diploma / Science Graduate
  • 2 – 6 years of experience in technical sales
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience handling pharmaceutical clients
  • Experience in Pune or Goa territory is mandatory
