Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical GST Supervisor to manage GST compliance, reconciliation activities, tax filings, and indirect tax support functions. The role involves handling GST returns, coordinating with vendors for ITC mismatches, maintaining tax documentation, and supporting automation initiatives within the finance and taxation process.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in GST compliance, reconciliation, indirect taxation, and advanced Excel skills, along with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
GST Compliance & Filing
- Prepare and file:
- GSTR-1
- GSTR-3B
- GSTR-9
- GSTR-9C
- Ensure timely and accurate GST compliance activities
Reconciliation & Tax Management
- Reconcile:
- Sales Register with GST Portal
- Purchase Register with GST Portal
- E-Invoicing and GST returns
- Coordinate with vendors for ITC mismatch resolution
- Handle GST-related queries and compliance support
Litigation & Documentation Support
- Maintain organized GST documentation for:
- Audits
- Notices
- Litigation support
- Assist in preparing responses to GST notices and tax authorities
Process Improvement & Automation
- Support automation initiatives in GST and taxation processes
- Identify opportunities for improving efficiency and compliance accuracy
Reporting & Coordination
- Collaborate with internal finance and payables teams
- Ensure accurate reporting and compliance tracking
- Manage multiple priorities during tax due dates and peak periods
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Any Degree / Semi-Qualified CA preferred
- 4 – 7 years of experience in GST and indirect taxation
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a CA firm preferred
- Strong understanding of:
- GST compliance
- Indirect taxation
- Accounting principles
