Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Project Planning Engineer to join our team for managing pharmaceutical, biotechnology, cleanroom, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in project planning, scheduling, execution support, and commissioning, with hands-on experience in HVAC and Cleanroom projects.
The role involves coordinating with design, procurement, execution, QA/QC, clients, and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards such as ISO 14644 and GMP.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and execution plans.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and execution teams to align project milestones.
- Monitor project progress, identify schedule deviations, and implement recovery plans.
- Track project deliverables and ensure timely completion.
Technical Coordination
- Understand cleanroom classifications (ISO 14644) and GMP requirements.
- Coordinate HVAC layouts, AHU sizing, ducting, and cleanroom utility planning with design consultants.
- Review BOQs, engineering drawings, technical submittals, and project specifications.
- Ensure technical compliance with client requirements and project standards.
Execution Support
- Monitor on-site installation activities related to HVAC systems, AHUs, ducting, chillers, HEPA filters, and cleanroom equipment.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, automation, and mechanical teams during project execution.
- Support site engineers in resolving technical and scheduling challenges.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and maintain project documentation including IQ/OQ protocols, validation reports, and as-built drawings.
- Support QA/QC activities related to cleanroom validation, DOP testing, airflow velocity, and particle count verification.
- Maintain project records for regulatory audits and client inspections.
Client & Vendor Coordination
- Participate in client meetings and provide regular project status updates.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely material delivery and project execution.
- Resolve project-related issues through effective stakeholder communication.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience Required
- 6–10 years of experience in project planning, execution, and commissioning.
- Prior experience in Cleanroom and HVAC projects is highly preferred.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or industrial engineering projects will be an added advantage.
