Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design & Estimation Engineer to join our engineering team specializing in HVAC and Cleanroom projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing HVAC systems, preparing technical drawings, developing project cost estimates, and supporting project execution for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, FMCG, cosmetics, and industrial facilities.

The role requires strong expertise in mechanical design, quantity estimation, tender preparation, and cross-functional coordination to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with industry standards such as ISO 14644 and GMP guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Design & Engineering

• Design HVAC systems, duct layouts, piping arrangements, and cleanroom solutions for pharmaceutical and industrial projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Develop cleanroom layouts in accordance with ISO 14644 and GMP standards.
• Maintain engineering documentation, drawing revisions, and design records.
• Ensure designs comply with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and engineering standards.
• Coordinate with procurement, estimation, and project execution teams during the design phase.

Estimation & Cost Analysis

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for HVAC and cleanroom projects.
• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Review tender documents, project specifications, and engineering drawings.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings to understand project scope and client requirements.
• Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations for technical and commercial suitability.
• Prepare competitive techno-commercial proposals while ensuring project profitability.
• Manage variation orders, additional scope, and cost revisions throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Coordination

• Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams for technical and commercial discussions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.
• Assist in project handover by ensuring complete technical documentation.
• Monitor estimation progress, design submissions, and project deliverables.

Required Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

Experience Required

• 5–17 years of experience in HVAC design, cleanroom engineering, estimation, or project engineering.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, FMCG, cosmetics, or industrial projects is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in tendering, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and project coordination.
