Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented R&D – OSD (Formulation Development) professional to support oral solid dosage (OSD) product development activities. The role involves formulation development, technology transfer, laboratory experimentation, documentation, and coordination of development activities within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in hot melt extrusion, wet granulation, and dry granulation, along with strong knowledge of pharmaceutical documentation and regulatory practices.

Key Responsibilities

Formulation Development

• Execute OSD product development activities using:
  • Hot Melt Extrusion
  • Wet Granulation
  • Dry Granulation
• Support technology transfer activities under guidance of the reporting manager
• Conduct laboratory experiments and accurately record observations and results

Project Planning & Resource Management

• Plan and arrange required:
  • Materials
  • Equipment
  • Laboratory facilities
• Ensure smooth execution of development activities and trials
• Manage inventory and coordinate timely procurement of materials

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain proper documentation of:
  • Laboratory trials
  • SOPs
  • Specifications
  • MFR (Master Formula Records)
  • BMR (Batch Manufacturing Records)
• Prepare development protocols and reports
• Ensure all activities comply with SOPs and regulatory guidelines

Equipment & Laboratory Management

• Monitor laboratory equipment and ensure:
  • Proper functioning
  • Timely calibration
  • Accurate logbook maintenance
• Ensure proper storage and handling of:
  • APIs
  • Excipients
  • Packing materials

Reporting & Coordination

• Discuss development outcomes with supervisors to define next steps
• Coordinate with internal teams for smooth project execution
• Support product development timelines and documentation reviews

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of OSD formulation development
• Hands-on experience in granulation techniques and hot melt extrusion
• Knowledge of technology transfer processes
• Good understanding of pharmaceutical documentation and regulatory requirements
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Eligibility Criteria

• B.Pharm / M.Pharm / Pharmaceutical Sciences
• 3 – 4 years of experience in OSD formulation development
• Experience in pharmaceutical R&D environment preferred
