Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Design Engineer with strong expertise in designing HVAC systems, particularly for pharmaceutical and industrial projects. The role involves preparing technical layouts, coordinating with cross-functional engineering teams, and ensuring efficient HVAC system design that meets industry standards and project requirements.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in HVAC design calculations, ducting layouts, piping layouts, and pharmaceutical facility zoning requirements, along with proficiency in AutoCAD and engineering documentation.
Key Responsibilities
HVAC System Design
- Design HVAC systems including ducting layouts, duct sizing, and air terminal sizing.
- Prepare plant room layouts, equipment layouts, and piping layouts for chilled, cooling, and hot water systems.
- Develop P&ID diagrams and general arrangement (GA) drawings for HVAC equipment.
Pharmaceutical HVAC Design
- Work on pharmaceutical and industrial HVAC designs including pressure zoning and classification zoning.
- Design and select specialized terminal devices such as HEPA boxes, risers, and filtration systems.
- Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical facility design requirements.
Engineering Calculations & Technical Drawings
- Perform heat load calculations and CFM distribution planning.
- Prepare air flow diagrams and filtration layouts including IN/EX filtration.
- Design reflective ceiling plans (RCP) and coordinated HVAC layouts.
Coordination & Project Support
- Coordinate HVAC drawings with civil, mechanical, and electrical teams.
- Prepare AHU layouts, pressure zoning plans, and piping routing diagrams.
- Support design documentation required for project execution.
Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Assist in the design and integration of BMS systems for HVAC control and monitoring.
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of HVAC system design and calculations
- Experience in pharmaceutical / industrial HVAC projects
- Expertise in duct sizing, airflow calculations, and pressure zoning
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and technical drawing preparation
- Ability to coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams
