Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Engineer – PPC (Production Planning & Control) to manage production planning, material coordination, inventory control, and dispatch activities for engineering and manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in production planning, MRP, SAP, inventory management, and interdepartmental coordination, along with the ability to ensure smooth execution of production and dispatch schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Control
- Plan and execute production activities to achieve targeted manufacturing and dispatch timelines
- Monitor machine-wise production trackers and ensure alignment with production plans
- Identify delays and deviations proactively and implement corrective action plans
Material Planning & Inventory Management
- Ensure stage-wise material availability by coordinating with:
- Procurement teams
- Stores teams
- Manufacturing departments
- Prepare and track:
- Material shortage reports
- MRP schedules
- PR releases
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize material movement processes
Coordination & Dispatch Planning
- Coordinate with:
- Manufacturing
- QC
- Stores
- Dispatch teams
- Ensure timely dispatch execution as per monthly production plans
- Support sub-assembly, assembly, and FAT activities through proper issuance planning
SAP & Process Management
- Work on SAP-related activities including:
- MRP planning
- Sales order tracking
- Material movement processes
- Handle Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) released by the design team
- Maintain proper production and inventory documentation
Operational Excellence
- Drive efficient material flow from receipt stores to main stores
- Coordinate return of excess materials post machine dispatch
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and minimize operational risks
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- 5 – 10 years of experience in:
