Qualification: B.E / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 3 – 5 Years
CTC: ₹5 LPA – ₹9 LPA (Based on experience and interview performance)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer – Utility with expertise in designing utility systems for pharmaceutical and industrial projects. The role involves planning, designing, and coordinating various utility systems such as water systems, compressed air, boilers, nitrogen systems, ETP, and fire fighting systems.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in utility system design, piping layouts, and equipment sizing, along with the ability to coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure efficient and compliant system designs.

Key Responsibilities

Utility System Design

  • Design and develop utility systems including:
    • Water systems
    • Compressed air systems
    • Boiler systems
    • Nitrogen systems
    • Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)
    • Fire fighting systems
  • Ensure designs comply with pharmaceutical industry standards and norms.

Engineering Design & Layouts

  • Prepare detailed piping layouts with pipe sizing calculations.
  • Develop plant room layouts and equipment layouts.
  • Create P&ID diagrams and General Arrangement (GA) drawings for utility systems.

Equipment Sizing & Selection

  • Perform sizing and selection of capital equipment based on process requirements and user points.
  • Ensure optimal system performance and efficiency through proper design calculations.

Coordination & Project Support

  • Coordinate utility designs with civil, mechanical, and electrical teams.
  • Ensure proper integration of utility systems within overall project design.
  • Support project execution through accurate and timely design documentation.

Key Skills

  • Strong knowledge of utility system design and engineering
  • Experience in piping layouts, equipment sizing, and P&ID preparation
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical utility requirements
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and engineering drawings
  • Good coordination and problem-solving skills
