Qualification: B.E – Electrical Engineering
Experience: 11 – 15 Years
CTC: Up to ₹17 LPA (Based on experience and interview performance)

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Lead Hardware Engineer to manage and oversee hardware engineering activities within automation projects. The role involves supporting project execution, ensuring design accuracy, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality engineering outputs.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in EPLAN, hardware design, project coordination, and industrial automation systems, along with experience in handling complex engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

Hardware Engineering & Design

  • Manage and monitor hardware engineering activities across projects
  • Develop and release customer P&ID drawings and hardware schematics
  • Configure EPLAN hardware projects and generate BOM/SOB using Teamcenter/ERP
  • Prepare and release electrical schematics, layouts, and engineering documents
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and customer requirements

Project Coordination & Execution

  • Support Automation & Controls Head in verifying:
    • Project inputs and URS deviation lists
    • Customer-approved P&ID and project scope
    • Project timelines and change requests
  • Coordinate with PPC, project management, and service teams
  • Support installation, commissioning, and startup activities

Documentation & Process Management

  • Maintain and update engineering templates and documentation (EPLAN, MIDR, P&ID)
  • Ensure timely release of:
    • Hardware schematics (Version control)
    • IIoT tag lists from EPLAN
    • FS, I/O, and ITR documentation
  • Ensure adherence to internal processes, ISO standards, and company guidelines

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with:
    • Procurement team for BOM generation and purchasing
    • Manufacturing and panel fabrication teams
    • Service team for retrofit and lifecycle support
  • Support retrofit projects and spare parts management

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with global standards (IS, IEC, CE, UL)
  • Maintain high standards of data integrity in design, execution, and testing
  • Support validation and QA processes

Tools & Technology

  • Work on platforms such as:
    • EPLAN P8
    • Teamcenter / ERP systems
    • AutoCAD / DraftSight
    • Automation platforms and IIoT integrations

Team Development

  • Support team growth through knowledge sharing and training initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to company standards and continuous improvement practices

Key Result Areas (KRA)

  • First Time Right (FTR) execution
  • On-Time Delivery In Full (OTDIF)
  • Effective team development and knowledge transfer
