Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled A&C Service Engineer to provide technical support, troubleshooting, and service solutions for automation and control systems. The role involves handling PLC, HMI, SCADA, and servo-based systems, supporting retrofit and upgrade projects, and ensuring smooth functioning of engineering machines.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in automation systems, industrial controls, and troubleshooting, along with the ability to work closely with customers and internal teams to deliver high-quality service solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide technical support to customers for automation and control systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, and servo drives.
- Perform failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Offer online and remote support to customers globally.
Service & Maintenance
- Deliver service support for installed engineering machines.
- Conduct site visits for breakdown handling, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain detailed records including service reports, machine history, and program data.
Retrofit & Upgradation Projects
- Support execution of retrofit and upgrade projects both in-house and at customer sites.
- Evaluate and implement hardware and software upgrades for existing systems.
- Modify, test, and validate PLC and SCADA backups.
Automation & IIoT Integration
- Assist in IIoT and MIS integration projects for enhanced system monitoring and performance.
- Support development and implementation of automation solutions.
- Contribute to testing, validation, and documentation processes.
Customer Training & Support
- Provide training to customers on system operation and troubleshooting.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.
Aftermarket & Business Support
- Identify opportunities for aftermarket revenue generation such as AMC, upgrades, and service contracts.
- Support lead generation and communicate opportunities to the sales team via CRM tools.
Internal Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Work closely with internal teams including engineering, production, service, and sales.
- Integrate customer feedback into process improvements and support CAPA initiatives.
- Share technical knowledge and provide training to internal service teams.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, and servo systems
- Experience in industrial automation and control systems troubleshooting
- Understanding of material handling, process automation, and industrial systems
