Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head – Consumables Sales to lead and drive sales of pharmaceutical consumables and related equipment across the domestic market. The role focuses on expanding business with existing customers, acquiring new clients, and strengthening market presence within the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in pharmaceutical equipment or consumables sales, including products such as tablet tooling, format parts, and change parts. This position requires strategic planning, business development, and strong customer relationship management to achieve revenue targets and ensure long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

 Sales Strategy & Business Development

  • Drive overall sales growth of pharmaceutical consumables and equipment across the domestic market.
  • Identify new business opportunities by targeting pharmaceutical manufacturers and production facilities.
  • Revive relationships with lost or inactive customers and strengthen engagement with existing accounts.
  • Implement sales strategies aligned with organizational objectives and market expansion goals.

 Revenue & Sales Target Management

  • Achieve budgeted sales targets for pharmaceutical equipment and consumables.
  • Ensure consistent monthly sales performance and maintain business stability across regions.
  • Monitor sales pipeline, track revenue performance, and maintain business forecasts.

 Customer Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including:

    1. Production teams

    2. Packaging development teams

    3. Procurement departments

    4. Marketing teams within client organizations

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.

 Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis

  • Track market trends, competitor activities, and product developments within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Provide market insights to management for strategic decisions related to pricing, product positioning, and business development.

 Cross-Selling & Business Expansion

  • Promote cross-selling opportunities across multiple product lines.
  • Drive synergy sales by introducing complementary products to existing customers.
  • Expand the organization’s share of business within major pharmaceutical accounts.

 Sales Operations & Process Management

  • Monitor sales operations including dispatch planning, order fulfillment, and collections.
  • Ensure effective coordination with internal teams such as:
    • Operations

    • Production

    • Sales support

    • Finance

    • Aftermarket service teams

  • Maintain proper CRM management and sales reporting.

 Customer Issue Resolution

  • Monitor and ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and service issues.
  • Work closely with internal teams to address technical or operational challenges faced by customers.

 Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor the consumables sales team to drive performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Implement training programs to improve product knowledge and sales capabilities.
  • Develop a high-performing sales team capable of managing regional business independently.

The role requires regular coordination with multiple departments including:

  • Engineering and Design teams
