Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Sales Director to lead the expansion and adoption of innovative IoT solutions across multiple customer segments and markets.

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in channel sales, distribution management, strategic partnerships, revenue growth, and sales leadership, along with a proven ability to build and scale high-performing sales networks.

This role will be responsible for driving business growth, managing strategic client relationships, strengthening market presence, and leading end-to-end sales operations across Chennai, Pondicherry, and surrounding territories.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve:
    • Revenue targets
    • Market expansion goals
    • Business growth objectives
  • Drive adoption and expansion of IoT products and technology solutions across multiple customer segments
  • Identify new market opportunities and scalable sales channels

Team Leadership & Sales Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage high-performing sales teams
  • Set:
    • Sales targets
    • KPIs
    • Performance metrics
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and sales planning activities
  • Build a strong sales culture focused on growth and customer engagement

Channel Sales & Distribution Management

  • Identify, onboard, and manage:
    • Retail counters
    • Distributors
    • Channel partners
  • Expand product availability and visibility across partner networks
  • Ensure effective in-store branding and product positioning across territories
  • Strengthen distributor relationships and optimize channel performance

Strategic Partnerships & Client Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with:
    • Key accounts
    • Strategic business partners
    • Distributors and retailers
  • Lead high-value commercial negotiations and strategic deal closures
  • Support long-term business partnerships and account growth initiatives

Sales Operations & Reporting

  • Oversee:
    • Sales forecasting
    • Pipeline management
    • Revenue tracking
    • Performance analysis
  • Prepare and present:
    • Sales reports
    • Growth plans
    • Business forecasts
      to senior leadership teams

Marketing & Brand Collaboration

  • Collaborate with marketing teams on:
    • Brand-building activities
    • Promotional campaigns
    • Co-marketing initiatives
  • Support market penetration and customer engagement strategies

Market Intelligence & Business Insights

  • Analyze:
    • Market trends
    • Competitor activities
    • Customer insights
  • Recommend improvements to sales strategies and business expansion plans
  • Represent the organization at:
    • Industry events
    • Trade shows
    • Networking forums

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in:
    • Sales leadership
    • Business development
    • Channel sales
    • Distribution management
  • Minimum 2+ years in a managerial or leadership role
  • Strong exposure to:
    • Consumer electronics
    • IoT devices
    • Consumer durables
      (Preferred)

Technical & Functional Skills

    • Retail sales ecosystems
    • Market expansion strategies
