Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in the Azure Data Stack and Snowflake to design, develop, and optimize scalable cloud-based data platforms and analytics solutions.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building enterprise-grade ETL/ELT pipelines, dimensional data models, cloud-native architectures, and modern analytics platforms, with a strong focus on performance, scalability, governance, and BI optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Cloud Architecture

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using:
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2)
  • Snowflake
• Build modern cloud-based data warehouse and analytics solutions
• Implement scalable and reusable data engineering frameworks

ETL / ELT Pipeline Development

• Develop and optimize:
  • Batch data pipelines
  • Incremental load pipelines
  • Data ingestion frameworks
• Ensure reliable and efficient data movement across systems
• Improve pipeline scalability, maintainability, and performance

Snowflake Optimization

• Manage and optimize Snowflake architecture and environments
• Perform:
  • Query optimization
  • Performance tuning
  • Warehouse & compute optimization
  • Cost optimization
• Ensure high-performance analytics and reporting workloads

Data Modeling & BI Optimization

• Design dimensional data models using:
  • Star Schema
  • Snowflake Schema
• Optimize Power BI semantic models and DAX-aware backend design
• Improve reporting performance and analytics efficiency

Governance, Monitoring & Quality

• Implement:
  • Data quality frameworks
  • Validation processes
  • Monitoring & observability solutions
  • Governance best practices
• Build and maintain Medallion Architecture:
  • Bronze Layer
  • Silver Layer
  • Gold Layer

DBT & DevOps

• Develop reusable DBT models and transformations
• Support CI/CD and DevOps practices for modern data platforms
• Ensure secure and scalable deployment processes

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with:
  • BI Teams
  • Data Analysts
  • Architects
  • Business Stakeholders
• Deliver scalable and data-driven business solutions
